The comedian Basketmouth has given an explanation for why, a few weeks ago, he made fun of Wizkid at Davido’s traditional wedding.
Recall that following the internet release of his alleged competitor Davido’s pre-wedding images, Wizkid garnered attention with his mysterious tweets.
Basketmouth responded by saying that Wizkid’s post was unnecessary and that Davido’s wedding was dominating social media.
In a recent video, Basketmouth disclosed that he knew Wizkid’s shade would create a stir, so he intentionally used it as a marketing ploy in his tweet. The actor-comedian together said:
“Wizkid is my guy, what I did was a marketing technique, I knew it was edgy, it would get people talking and it did what I expected it to do, it worked in my favour”.
