BARCELONA BEATS REAL MADRID TO WIN THE SPANISH SUPER CUP

FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-1 to win the Spanish Super Cup (Supercopa de Espana) on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Last week, Real Madrid knocked out Valencia on penalties to reach the final but were beaten at the King Fahd International Stadium today.

FC Barcelona dominated the two halves of the match with over 55% of ball possession and passes. Pablo Gavi, the youngest player in the Spanish Super Cup history to score in the final, made a spectacular appearance tonight by scoring the opener in favor of his team in the 33rd minute.

FC Barcelona maintained its leadership following a second goal scored in the 45th minute of the game by Robert Lewandowski

FC Barcelona continued its brilliant form during tonight’s match by scoring a third goal in the 72nd minute of the game through its 20-year-old player Pedro Lopez known as Pedri.

Real Madrid scored one goal in the 93rd minute of the match through Karim Benzema.
