3,933 BVAS delivered to Ondo State – INEC

In preparation for the 2023 general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has taken delivery of 3,933 Bimodal Voters Accreditation Systems, or BVAS, according to Amb. Rufus Akeju, the commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ondo State.

Akeju also disclosed that the state commission had received 23,598 sleeping mats in addition to 5,329 ballot boxes. 

The REC made this announcement during a press conference in Akure, the state’s capital, while briefing reporters at the commission’s state office in Alagbaka, Akure, on its pre-election activities. 

He claims that in order for the commission to better serve the people, more polling places have been built throughout the state for easy access by voters.

“The following sensitive and non- sensitive election materials have so far been taken delivery of in Ondo State. BVAS, 3,933, Ballot Boxes, 5,329, Sleeping Mats, 23,598, Gum, 4,130 and Voting Cubicles = 2,224.”

He also advised potential voters in the state to pick up their PVC from different wards so they could take part in the election process.
