Obafemi Martins, a former Super Eagles striker, graduates from Harvard

During his playing days, the forward was known for his speed and incredible goal celebrations. .

Obafemi Martins, a former Inter Milan forward and Nigerian international, has achieved yet another personal milestone. He recently graduated from Harvard.

This achievement was shared by the former Super Eagles striker on his social media account, along with a video of him studying and celebrating with friends. 

The 38-year-old, regarded as one of the best players to have emerged from Nigeria, took to social media to share his latest achievement. 

Obafemi Martins is a Nigerian footballer who has won titles in Italy, England, and Russia while playing for Inter Milan, Newcastle United, Portsmouth, and Rubin Kazan.

Despite all of his football records, the former MLS goal of the year appears to have surprised himself with his latest feat. 

“Never let other people’s opinions of you define you,” Obafemi wrote on Instagram. 

“You might be surprised at what you can accomplish,” he added. 

Obafemi, who made his debut in the Unity Cup in 2004 and went on to win 42 caps for Nigeria and score 18 goals.

He played for Chinese club Wuhan before retiring earlier this year. He was a member of the Super Eagles team that finished third in the 2006 AFCON.
