Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Government, Ossai Ovie Success, has shared an emotional encounter he had with an elderly man at a Point of Sale (POS) stand.
In a Facebook post, Ossai said he was at a POS outlet when an elderly man arrived to withdraw ₦1,000. The POS attendant reportedly called the man’s son, who immediately transferred the money.
However, after the transaction, the attendant handed the elderly man only ₦900, leaving him visibly devastated.
According to Ossai, he was moved by the situation and intervened by asking the POS attendant to give the elderly man ₦10,000 instead.
Recounting the moment, he wrote:
“I stepped in and told the POS lady to give him ₦10,000. The old man laid flat on the ground and held my legs.”
The story has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing differing opinions.
