A taxi driver has reportedly thrown a passenger out of his vehicle after the passenger made a comment suggesting that Nigeria is in a better condition today than it was years ago.
The incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @AbujaPresident, who recounted the exchange that allegedly took place during the ride.
According to the post, the unidentified passenger remarked that Nigeria is better today compared to previous years despite ongoing complaints about economic hardship and insecurity across the country.
The statement reportedly angered the driver, who strongly disagreed with the passenger’s opinion.
Rather than continue the journey, the driver allegedly asked the man to leave the vehicle immediately.
Sharing the experience online, @AbujaPresident wrote:
“Inside car just now, a man said that Nigeria is better today compared to years ago. The driver vex, ask am to come down.”
The post quickly attracted reactions from social media users, with many debating the passenger’s opinion and the driver’s response.
Some argued that everyone is entitled to their personal views on the state of the country, while others said the driver may have reacted emotionally due to the economic challenges many Nigerians currently face.
Others found the incident humorous, describing it as an example of how political and economic discussions can easily spark tension among citizens.
