A Nigerian lady has shared details of her encounter with a man who visited her mother’s shop to buy a bottle of Smoove drink.
According to the lady, identified as Ofuke Evelyn on Facebook, the incident happened while she was attending to the customer at the shop.
She explained that after the man requested the drink, she briefly went inside to get it for him. However, while monitoring the shop through CCTV on her phone, she allegedly noticed the man move closer to the hanger and quietly pick a sachet of Cowbell coffee.
Thinking he intended to pay for both items, she returned and waited for him to complete the transaction.
But while distracted with his phone, the customer reportedly brought out his ATM card and paid for only the Smoove drink, ignoring the Cowbell coffee he had already taken.
According to her, after the payment was completed, the man casually asked if the transaction had gone through.
Her response immediately left him stunned.
“Cowbell coffee shock. He just left without looking back. This year I have already said it that I no dey gree for anybody. Both on Facebook and real life,” she wrote while recounting the experience online.
The post has since sparked reactions from social media users, many of whom praised her for handling the situation calmly without publicly embarrassing the customer.
