An X user, @papshine_t, has stirred massive reactions online after recounting the shocking story of his employer’s wife, who allegedly disappeared for over a decade after travelling to Dubai.
According to the narration, the woman travelled overseas more than 11 years ago and initially kept in touch with her husband and their two children after arriving in Dubai.
However, communication reportedly stopped completely after some time, leaving the husband to single-handedly care for their sons.
The X user revealed that the man would drop the children off with their grandmother whenever he went to work, before eventually remarrying another woman who helped him raise the boys.
In a dramatic twist, the woman reportedly returned to Nigeria last month and demanded to take the children abroad with her.
Her husband allegedly refused, leading to threats of legal action from the woman.
The story has since sparked heated debates online, with many questioning whether someone absent for over a decade should still have parental rights over children they allegedly abandoned.

Some users strongly backed the husband, arguing that the emotional bond between the children and their mother may no longer exist after such a long absence.
Others, however, insisted the matter is more complicated and should be resolved legally rather than emotionally.
