A Nigerian lady has shared an emotional experience she witnessed at a Point of Sale (POS) stand, where a teenager’s desperate plea for help left many in tears.
The lady, identified as @Deseiye on X (formerly Twitter), recounted how the young boy approached a POS agent and handed over ₦500, begging that the money be sent to his mother.
When the agent asked where his mother was, the boy reportedly revealed that she was seriously ill and that doctors had refused to begin treatment until payment was made.
His revelation reportedly stunned everyone present, creating a brief moment of silence before compassionate Nigerians stepped in.
A concerned woman reportedly asked how much was needed for the treatment, and donations soon began pouring in from people nearby.
Reflecting on the touching moment, the lady wrote:
“That day, I realized something — in Nigeria, people are struggling, but they still show up for one another.”
