Many users expressed shock and disbelief, while others urged caution in jumping to conclusions.

“Oh my goodness, what won’t we see in this country. However, you can’t just judge based on this—there might be other factors or someone trying to set her up.”
Adebare took a stricter stance, suggesting legal action:
“They should call the number and get whoever did that arrested for defacing Nigerian currency.”
Another user, Nathaniel, showed concern:
“That person should be tracked and taken to a rehabilitation center. She might be going through a lot.”
Ib Tech questioned the intent behind sharing the post:
“Are you trying to advertise her phone number here? Because I don’t get it.”
Meanwhile, Shozy added a humorous twist:
“Imagine the money might have travelled all the way from Maiduguri before you got it in Ibadan 😆.”
The viral post has since sparked conversations about the misuse of currency, privacy concerns, and the different ways people react to unusual situations online.
