Nigerian Nurse Shares Viral Story of Doctor Who Ghosted Her Over Billing Fears

A Nigerian nurse has sparked widespread reactions online after recounting her experience dating a medical doctor who unexpectedly ghosted her just days before her birthday.

The story, shared on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @Temitope-Afoo, quickly gained traction, drawing thousands of views and comments.

According to the nurse, communication between her and the doctor suddenly stopped shortly before her birthday. Concerned by the abrupt silence, she reached out multiple times through calls and messages, but received no response.

Explaining what she later discovered, she wrote:

Because he was thinking I would bill him for something. I was even worried and I messaged & called several times but he didn’t respond so I left him.”

After her birthday passed, the doctor eventually resurfaced, but by then, she had already moved on from the situation.

Now married, the nurse added that the experience influenced her personal boundaries, noting that she no longer shares her phone number with doctors.

She also revealed in the comment section that the same doctor reached out to her two years later to ask for airtime—a move she found amusing.

The post, which has garnered over 149,000 views, has since triggered mixed reactions from users on X (formerly Twitter), with many sharing humorous, critical, and reflective takes on the situation.
