Drama has unfolded in a residential building after a landlord reportedly issued quit notices to all single male tenants following his recent marriage to a 23-year-old woman.
According to one affected tenant, the landlord’s wife had been abroad for nearly two years and was unwilling to return, prompting him to remarry. However, tensions escalated when he allegedly asked all unmarried men in the building to vacate the premises.
The landlord reportedly justified his decision by claiming he did not want single men around his new wife, particularly those he described as “young and active.” Affected tenants attempted to appeal the decision, but the landlord remained firm, giving them a six-month notice to leave while allowing only married tenants to stay.
