A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after recounting a surprising twist during her job search journey in Abuja.
The X user, known as @olububewrites, revealed that she had been searching for a job for months without success. According to her, things took an unexpected turn after a simple conversation with her mother.
She shared that on the day of an interview scheduled for Monday, her mother called and asked a question she initially dismissed.
“Have you prayed today?” her mother asked.
The lady admitted she laughed it off, responding, “But Mummy, prayers won’t give me a job nau. No be everything be prayers.” Her mother, however, didn’t argue and simply replied, “Okay.”
Despite her skepticism, she attended the interview the next day. Upon arrival, she was reportedly told that her selection for the interview had been a mistake. Still, she spent about 20 minutes speaking with the HR representative before leaving.
What happened next came as a shock.
Two days later, she received a call from the company asking if she could resume work the following Monday. Confused, she questioned the sudden change.
According to her, the HR representative explained:
“Honestly? When you left, my boss walked past and randomly asked about you. I don’t even know why.”
The unexpected turnaround left the lady stunned and, by her own admission, changed her perspective on the role of spirituality in her life.
Her story has since gone viral, with many social media users sharing mixed reactions—some attributing the outcome to divine intervention, while others pointed to chance or the impression she made during the brief interview.
