A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her emotional experience about taking a break from her fiancé, only to feel betrayed shortly afterward.
The lady explained that her decision to pause the relationship stemmed from honesty and personal struggle. She revealed that temptation had become difficult for her to manage, and she wanted to remain faithful rather than cheat.
“I asked my fiancé for a break because I had been struggling with temptation and felt it was becoming hard for me to stay committed to just one person. I didn’t want to cheat on him, so I chose to be honest and told him the truth,” she said.
According to her, her fiancé agreed to the break but made it clear that he would stop providing financial support during that period.
However, things took an unexpected turn two weeks later when she decided to visit him without informing him beforehand.
“When I got there, I was shocked to find another woman with him,” she recounted. “I felt hurt, angry, and completely betrayed.”
Overwhelmed by anger, she said the situation escalated into a confrontation that turned physical, during which she destroyed some of his properties.
The lady said what hurt her the most was that they had agreed it was only a break and not a complete breakup, so she never expected him to move on so quickly.
“Now I feel confused, heartbroken, and tired of feeling like men keep treating me this way. I still care about him and I’m wondering if there’s any way to fix things and get my man back. I really need advice,” she added.
Her post has since generated widespread discussion on social media, with many users sharing mixed opinions about the situation and whether the fiancé’s actions were justified during the break.
