A dramatic scene reportedly unfolded inside a church following the burial of a man, as his two wives allegedly clashed during a thanksgiving session.
The incident was shared on Facebook by Ndubuisi Nicholas Ifedoro, who recounted the circumstances that led to the disruption.
According to his post, the deceased had experienced marital issues with his first wife while he was alive, and the couple had not been living together prior to his death.
Tension reportedly escalated during the thanksgiving offering in church. Ndubuisi explained that the first wife and her children had stepped forward to present their thanksgiving gifts to the officiating priest, who was already standing in anticipation.
However, the situation quickly turned chaotic when the second wife and her own children reportedly rushed to the front with their gifts, positioning themselves in a way that blocked the first wife and her children.
“So, the drama started when the first wife and her children came out standing in front to present the thanksgiving gifts to the officiating priest, who was already standing and waiting for them. That was when the second wife and her own children rushed to the front with their own gifts to block the first wife and her children. Noise and commotion erupted everywhere,” the post read.
The confrontation allegedly led to confusion inside the church, with some of the thanksgiving gifts said to have been damaged in the process.
Order was eventually restored after the intervention of the officiating priests, church wardens, family members, and friends, who stepped in to calm both parties and prevent further escalation.
The incident has since sparked conversations online about family disputes and unresolved tensions surfacing during sensitive moments such as funerals.
