Popular influencer Baddy of Lagos has shared a heartwarming update with fans as he took his first steps months after undergoing a corrective orthopedic surgery in Egypt.
Recall that the social media personality had earlier appealed for financial support to undergo surgery for his legs, which were congenitally bowed. His condition, which had affected his mobility for years, required urgent medical intervention.
The online fundraising campaign was spearheaded by fellow influencer Wizarab, who rallied widespread support for Baddy after highlighting his long battle with the leg condition. The campaign drew massive goodwill from Nigerians and supporters across social media.
Baddy later disclosed that doctors advised against operating on both legs at the same time, explaining that the pain, strain, and recovery process would be too overwhelming. As a result, it was agreed that only one leg would be corrected first. He is expected to return for surgery on the second leg after fully recovering from the initial procedure.
In a recent update shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Baddy posted a video showing himself walking carefully on his newly straightened leg, supported by a crutch. The emotional clip quickly gained attention online, with many celebrating his progress.
Expressing gratitude to those who stood by him throughout the journey, Baddy wrote:
“First steps with my leg post surgery, y’all gave me this ❤️”
The update has since been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages and encouragement, as many continue to applaud the power of community support and Baddy’s resilience.
