Blord Says Men Steal More, Women Are Rarer Thieves — Social Media Reacts

Blord has stirred widespread conversation online after opening up on why the majority of his employees are women.

Speaking on his hiring philosophy, the businessman claimed that societal pressure plays a major role in workplace behaviour, arguing that men often face heavier expectations than women. According to him, this pressure can influence how individuals handle responsibility, especially when large sums of money are involved.

Blord explained that when a man works in an organisation where millions of naira pass through his hands without any temptation to steal, it is usually because he is already content with what he has. While he acknowledged that women can also steal, he described such cases as rare in his experience.

To further illustrate the scale of trust placed on his workforce, Blord disclosed that his company paid out a total of ₦1.1 billion in salaries in 2025, averaging about ₦90 million monthly. He noted that these large financial operations are managed largely by female staff.

“Women face less pressure in society, while men carry most of the pressure in this world. When a man works in an organization where millions of naira pass through his hands without thinking of stealing, it is only because he is content with what he has,” he said.

His remarks have since generated mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some users applauded his confidence in female employees and praised his management approach, others criticised his comments as sexist and accused him of using the discussion to promote himself. The debate continues to trend online, drawing strong opinions from both sides.
