Two parents linked to the St Mary’s abduction have reportedly died following the traumatic incident involving students from St Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri village, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.
The confirmation came from the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Most Rev Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, in Minna on Tuesday through his media aide, Daniel Atori.
According to the bishop, who also chairs the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state and owns the school, one of the victims was a man identified as Anthony Musa.
He explained that Musa died after suffering a heart attack shortly after the St Mary’s abduction, adding that efforts are still ongoing to contact the family of the female parent whose identity remains unknown.
“The man Anthony Musa died of heart attack but the female we don’t have the details yet because we couldn’t get the family”, he said.
