A popular X influencer, Sir Dickson, has been widely praised after successfully raising millions of naira for a young lady in need of life-changing hip surgery.
The beneficiary, identified as @b_o_r___ah on X and named Ore, had shared her heartbreaking story online, recounting how her ordeal began in 2016 at just 14 years old.
According to her, her mother first noticed changes in her posture and walking pattern, which led to several hospital visits. She was later diagnosed with a collapsed femoral head in her left hip, a condition that required hip replacement surgery.
Doctors told her the procedure could not be performed until she turned 20. Sadly, by the time she reached that age, her mother had passed away, leaving her without support and unable to afford the costly surgery.
Moved by her story, Sir Dickson, via his X handle @Wizarab10, rallied his followers to help raise the estimated N5.7 million required for the surgery.
To the amazement of many, in just four hours, he successfully raised N6 million. Within about 25 hours, contributions surpassed N7 million.
Sharing the update on his page, he wrote:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we have raised the full amount for Ore’s operation. We did this in 4 hours. Thank you for your trust bestowed in me, and thank you for your kindnesses. You always respond when I call. I do not take it for granted. Danke 🙏🏾 Congratulations Ore.”
