Nigerian caretaker imprisoned in the UK for kissing a female patient

According to reports, a Nigerian caring for a female patient in a UK hospital was given a prison sentence for kissing her.

A video that a man narrates the incident was attached to the post, which was posted on the well-known social media site X (formerly Twitter).

The narrator claims that the caregiver, Adewale, came to the UK last year and worked as a hospital caregiver. He was tasked with caring for a female patient who was in excruciating pain.

Adewale allegedly tried to console her by kissing her. Because of her condition, the woman did not respond right away.

Adewale was reportedly assigned to the same patient again the next day, though, and carried out the same act.

This time, the patient informed hospital officials about the incident. It was verified that Adewale had kissed the patient after watching surveillance footage.

He was suspended and later sued for sexual assault after an internal investigation. Following a court hearing, he received a prison sentence.

The man who shared the story online stated: “One of our brothers, Adewale, has been sentenced to prison for committing an avoidable crime. He was trying to show sympathy in a misguided way, but it crossed a professional line. Now, he’s in jail, leaving behind a wife and children in this country.”

The post has triggered mixed reactions online, with many users taking to the comment section to express their views on the incident.
