After allegedly being beaten by a Bolt driver during a ride dispute, a Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express her alarm.
In a post on her X (previously Twitter) page, the woman, who goes by @Ewatomilola_A, claimed that the driver had broken her car mirror and would not return a bag that contained two pairs of sneakers that she had inadvertently left in his car.
Detailing her ordeal, she wrote: “Hello @boltapp, I ordered a ride from Arena on Friday and up till today, I’ve not recovered from the experience.”
“The driver broke the new mirror I just bought and charged me a ridiculous amount for the ride. I also forgot a bag containing two sneakers in his car, and he’s refusing to return it.”
She added that despite several attempts to reach him, the driver kept ending her calls:
“I’ve called him several times, and he just keeps hanging up on me. Please help me retrieve my sneakers. That’s his plate number and the mirror he broke. That’s him in the video shouting ‘he no pay him.’ @boltapp help!!!”
According to her post, the incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over the ride fare.
