A woman from Nigeria has described her terrifying experience of being a victim of a “one chance” robbery in Ogudu, Lagos State, where a man wearing a police uniform was involved.
The lady disclosed in a post on the well-known social media site TikTok that she got on a bus at the Ogudu bus stop on a Friday morning without realizing it was a “one chance” bus that was being used by criminals.
sShortly after the trip started, she explained, the driver pulled over to pick up a man who was traveling.
The driver then swiftly rolled up the window, and all of the passengers were told to either bow their heads or lie on the ground while donning face masks.
She said: “This happened on Friday. I boarded a vehicle at Ogudu bus stop going to VI. Inside, there was a driver, a man in police uniform, and a guy wearing a suit carrying a laptop bag.”
“We picked up another passenger dressed in a suit at a bus stop. If you looked at them, you’d think they were going to work.”
“But as we moved on, the driver rolled up the window very fast, and everyone put on masks. Next thing, everyone started shouting ‘Get down!’ The man beside me forced me to the floor. They took my phone, my bag, even my ATM card.”
She added that the police officer present was given the task of withdrawing money from her account after taking her ATM card. The officer was heard asking for her PIN, which she was forced to give.
The woman shared more details in the video, exposing how the robbery was carried out with inside help.
As the post circulated online, concerned users flooded the comments section to share their thoughts and reactions.
