A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share his grief after his wife, who has been married to him since 2022 and has a daughter who is four years old, claimed to be single in an interview with online personality Egungun.
The video of the woman during her interview was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by user @ChuksEricE.
The lady boldly declared in the video that she is single, adding that she has always been in relationships but is currently just “chilling.”
She added, “I’m 22. I need a kind man, generous and fine.”
Following the viral video, the woman’s husband came forward to reveal the truth.
In an online message, he disclosed that the interviewee is his spouse, whom he has been married to since 2022.
According to him, their union produced a daughter, and her family has refused to return his dowry.
He wrote: “Three days ago, I was just receiving messages from my friends all over, telling me they saw my wife on Egungun’s page, where she said she is a nurse and single. Meanwhile, we have been married since 2022, and she has a 4-year-old daughter for me.”
“I live in Asaba and she is living in Lagos. Her parents have refused to return my dowry, and this has been eating me up. I have all the evidence you need.”
At the time of publication, the woman had not yet addressed the accusations in public.
