The Lagos State Police Command has granted bail to embattled Afrobeats star Seun Kuti.
Remember that the singer was arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, also known as Panti, in Lagos State on May 14th for slapping a police officer at the Third Mainland Bridge.
Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), the singer’s lawyer, confirmed to journalists that Seun Kuti was released on Tuesday night.
“Yes, Seun Kuti was just released. His bail conditions had been finalized since last Thursday, but the police requested an extension to keep him in custody until today (Tuesday) to complete the investigation.”
