Lady issues a warning after a family member died in a fire started by a phone near cooking gas

A Nigerian woman who lost a family member to a terrible fire incident brought on by holding a phone near a cooking gas source has issued a warning.

She posted the tragic tale on her X (formerly Twitter) page, warning people not to put their phones close to gas cylinders or cookers.

In her post, she wrote: “Please don’t carry your phones near open flame 🙏🏾 I just lost my cousin this morning.”

She further explained the cause of the incident, saying: “It was a cooking gas explosion. I feel everyone should be aware of the dangers by now. It’s all very true.”

Her post prompted an outpouring of support and concern, with many individuals flooding the comment section to express their thoughts.
