Takehiro Tomiyasu was not spotted in training on Tuesday as Arsenal continue their preparations for Sunday’s meeting with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Tomiyasu played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Bounemouth, though was nowhere to be seen on Tuesday as Mikel Arteta’s men trained at their Colney base.
Video footage captured highlighted the fact the Japanese international was not present.
However, summer signing Jurrien Timber was involved in Tuesday’s training.
Timber was left out of the matchday squad at the weekend, despite being in contention to make his long-awaited first-team return.
Should Tomiyasu fail to be part of the Arsenal contingent at Old Trafford on Sunday, a chance could therefore arise for Timber.
