District leaders in Niger demand action to liberate bandit prisoners

Alh Usman Baiwa, the district chief of Niger State’s Zugurma, Mashegu Local Government Area, has urged the state government to take additional security measures to ensure the safe return of those currently held captive by bandits.

During a meeting with the APC candidates for the Niger North Senatorial District in Mashegu LGA, the traditional leader made the plea on behalf of his colleagues and praised Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for his rapid responsiveness to security-related concerns.

In addition to blessing and wishing them success in the polls, Baiwa pledged their support and commitment to the governor, who is running for the zone’s senatorial seat, Umar Bago, the candidate for governor, and the candidates for the national and state assembly.

At the gathering, the governor and other senatorial district candidates from the party asked for the traditional leaders’ backing to win the election.

Additionally, the APC candidates from the zone asked the locals to support all of the party’s candidates in the next elections.
