Celestial Church allegedly set on fire after a dead body with missing parts is discovered on the premises (Video)

A Celestial Church in the Badore, Ajah area of Lagos State has been set on fire after reports of a dead body found on the premises with parts missing.

According to a social media report, an angry mob set fire to a church’s property over a manslaughter act committed at the location.

According to eyewitnesses who shared a video of the development, the Celestial Church is known for frequent celebrations. However, one person was said to have been murdered and his body parts removed.

In response to the act, the community demolished the church

The video was shared on Twitter by @Anietie41dude, who captioned it, “Pastor of Cele church at Ajah, precisely at Alasia kills an Aboki by the name Dogo for rituals.” His body was discovered inside the church this morning when people went looking for him.

His eyes and tongue had already been removed when they discovered his body this morning. According to his supporters, the Pastor approached him last night to assist them in digging a soak away in the church. They wanted to use Dogo (name of deceased) for rituals, unbeknownst to him.

His People went to the church this morning to look for him. The Pastor informed them that he had fallen into the soakaway and had been rushed to the hospital, but his congregation did not believe him.”

“Look at the entire place,” another witness on the scene could be heard saying. They assassinated my friend, someone I know. They took his manhood, eyes, and tongue away. Wickedness; God will judge you all.”

However, the police confirmed that the body found was not missing any parts, and that the labourer named Dogo fell into a soakaway and died before arriving at the hospital.

A church worker was also confirmed to have fallen into the same soakaway while attempting to rescue the victim, but he is currently in the hospital.
