Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and filmmaker, has openly supported Afrobeats icon Innocent 2Baba in the face of criticism over his tumultuous marriage to Annie Idibia.
This came after the African Queen hitmaker declared that his 13-year marriage to Annie Idibia, which had been characterized by emotional upheaval and infidelity rumors, had essentially ended. He revealed that the couple has been living apart for a while and that a divorce appears likely.
Yul, who is no stranger to controversy, vehemently defended 2Baba, igniting heated discussions on social media.
As 2Baba struggles in his marriage, Yul called online in-laws to order and expressed sympathy for the musician’s predicament.
He claimed in a recent Instagram post that social media users’ opinions are irrelevant and unjustified in the context of 2Baba’s divorce.
“Anybody insulting 2Baba or calling him out because of his family matter that does not concern you, THUNDER FIRE YOU!!!” he wrote.
