A Nigerian lady has sparked laughter online after sharing an embarrassing experience she had during a church service.
In a post on X, @Ola_sun_kanmi recounted how she unexpectedly fell asleep beside the altar after joining a group of elderly worshippers during a prayer session.
According to her, while others eventually returned to their seats after the prayers ended, she remained fast asleep without realizing it.
The situation took an awkward turn when an usher was asked to wake her up after the clergyman noticed someone was still lying beside the altar.
Narrating the moment, she said:
“I woke up and stretched in front of the whole church. I was still stretching when I became fully aware of my environment. I froze for a second before I quietly looked for the nearest seat. The embarrassment.”
Her confession quickly went viral, with many social media users sharing jokes, sympathy, and similar experiences.
