A Nigerian lady has recounted an incident at a wedding involving the groom, leaving netizens stunned online.
The lady, identified by her X handle @haifah_er_abba, disclosed that drama unfolded during the wedding reception after the Master of Ceremony (MC) made a request to the groom.
According to her, the MC instructed the groom to either kiss his bride publicly or pay ₦100,000 instead.
However, in a shocking twist, the groom reportedly transferred ₦500,000 to the MC and pleaded not to be involved in any activity he considered too serious.
Narrating the incident, she wrote:
“The groom paid 500k and asked the MC not to involve him in anything with seriousness, he wasn’t smiling at all. Tears gather for bride eyes.”
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating whether the groom’s action was a red flag or simply a matter of personal or religious preference.
