A woman has sparked reactions online after revealing that her best friend’s husband confessed romantic feelings for her during a private moment at a gathering.
The lady, who shared the story anonymously on social media, explained that she never imagined such a situation could happen between her and the husband of someone she considered a close friend.
According to her, the confession happened casually while they were briefly alone during a small get-together, leaving her shocked and emotionally unsettled.
She stated that she initially laughed because she assumed he was joking, but quickly realised he was serious after noticing his facial expression remained unchanged.
“He just told me he had feelings for me like it was nothing serious. At first, I laughed because I thought he was joking, but when I realised he meant it, everything suddenly became awkward,” she recounted.
“I immediately told him that what he said was wrong and that nothing could ever happen between us. He looked like he regretted saying it, but the damage had already been done,” she added.
The woman further disclosed that she has struggled with whether to tell her best friend about the incident or remain silent to protect the marriage.
“If I tell her, I might destroy her happiness in one conversation. If I stay quiet, it feels like I’m hiding something every time we talk and laugh together,” she said.
