The family of Alexx Ekubo� has officially confirmed the Nollywood actor’s passing, ending days of speculation surrounding his health.
According to the family’s statement, Alexx died at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after complications from advanced metastatic kidney cancer following what was described as a brief but courageous private battle.
They described him as a beloved son, brother, and friend who faced his illness with remarkable strength, faith, and hope, while also requesting privacy and prayers during this difficult time.
His death has sparked an outpouring of grief across Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with colleagues, fans, and well-wishers mourning the loss of one of Nollywood’s most recognizable stars. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
