A young Nigerian man has gone viral after sharing his mother’s hilarious reaction to receiving a surprise gift — a brand-new iPhone X, which she mistakenly believed was the latest iPhone 17 worth over ₦1 million.
Clearly shocked, the mother questioned how her son could afford such an expensive phone and immediately became suspicious.
Reacting in the video, she said:
“Is this not the expensive iPhone that is trending? Is it not the phone that cost ₦1m? How did you get the money to buy this for me? Wait until your father comes back first so you can explain.”
Despite her son explaining that it wasn’t the ultra-expensive version, she remained unconvinced and insisted he would still need to properly explain to his father.
