A Nigerian lady has stirred laughter online after sharing her mother’s dramatic reaction to discovering that a sardine she had been saving was used to cook indomie.
The lady, identified as @Qu-een Chizzy on TikTok, posted the story alongside a voice note her mum sent after uncovering the “crime.”
According to her, the situation escalated when her mother found the empty sardine can in the trash—mixed with indomie wrappers—clearly pointing to the culprit.
Her mum didn’t hold back.
In the voice note, she demanded immediate repayment for the sardine and even threatened to sell one of her daughter’s shoes if the money wasn’t produced:
“Chizoba, that sardine wey I keep, I go there now one loss… If you dey come back bring me the sardine money or I go sell one of your shoe use recover the money back…”
She went further to warn her daughter against repeating such behavior, stressing that the sardine was not just any kind—but “original sardine,” implying it was of high value 😄
