According to a viral video trending on X (formerly Twitter), the woman became suspicious after noticing her husband frequently communicating with a particular contact on his phone. Convinced he was being unfaithful, she reportedly took action without confirming the situation.
Unbeknownst to her, the contact was actually a key business associate tied to a major deal her husband had been working on for a long time. Her actions allegedly disrupted communication between both parties, leading to the collapse of the deal valued at ₦7.8 billion.
The incident has since triggered widespread reactions online, with many users sharing similar experiences and offering differing opinions on the situation.
One user, @OvohJohn, shared, “This happened to my elder brother after his wife mistakenly deleted all his contacts from his phone while she was searching for a lady’s number. It was a terrible situation; they had to call a family meeting.”
