A Nigerian lady has taken to TikTok to share a shocking and emotional story about how her boyfriend allegedly betrayed her trust in the most unexpected way.
In a now-viral video, the woman recounted how she gave her boyfriend ₦1 million — money meant to support her business — only to later discover that he allegedly used the funds to pay the bride price of another woman he was secretly planning to marry.
“If You Ever Feel Stupid…”
Narrating her experience with a mix of disbelief and nervous laughter, she said:
“If you ever feel stupid, let me share something that happened to me. I had a boyfriend, and I gave him one million naira — yes, ₦1 million — money that was meant for my business. Do you know what he did with it? He used the money to pay the bride price for his other girlfriend — the woman he was planning to marry.”
According to her, she had no idea he was preparing for his wedding while still in a relationship with her.
Same Hotel, Same Man, Same Week
As if the revelation wasn’t shocking enough, she claimed the situation became even more bizarre in the days leading up to the wedding.
The lady alleged that both she and the bride-to-be were lodged in the same hotel for seven consecutive days before the ceremony.
“It is not only that… the man also lodged me and his wife-to-be in the same hotel — the same hotel — for seven straight days. He stayed with me for four days and with her for three days. On the morning of the wedding, I was with him and even helped him get ready, believing it was his friend’s wedding.”
She explained that she only later realized the event she had unknowingly assisted him in preparing for was actually his own wedding.
