A Nigerian lady has stirred conversations online after candidly explaining why she’s not interested in having children.
In a video shared on her TikTok account, @Ministerofenjoyment, the 24-year-old discussed the toll pregnancy takes on a woman’s body. She claimed that only wealthy women or celebrities can easily recover from the physical changes that come with carrying a child.
She went further to explain the financial considerations behind her decision, saying:
“I don’t want to be spending my money on school fees. What do you mean? Like, bro, imagine me telling my child, ‘Okay, I can’t give you money for school fees because I want to go and buy a dress, or I want to go to a restaurant.’ I sound like a terrible person.”
The young woman also revealed her struggles with multitasking, sharing that it took her three years to learn how to drive, highlighting how managing multiple responsibilities can be challenging.
Her frankness has sparked reactions online, with many praising her honesty while others questioned her views on parenthood and financial priorities.

@🦋Taofeeqah 🦋:But still every pain and stress worth it,looking at your child alone is another source of happiness 💯❤️
@Gracieee😍✨:I don’t want to be emotionally available for someone else most especially my child. I don’t want to carry the weight of someone else’s emotions. Most importantly, the world is not kind. Imagine your child going through something that is out of both of you’s control, and I’m carrying that emotional weight of them hurting. I love them too much to have them.
