A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express her shock after the man she had just begun dating, a talking stage, gave her a list of stringent “commandments” to follow in order to keep their relationship going.
She posted about the experience with a caption on her TikTok page.
“POV: My talking stage gave me commandments and rules.”
The man, who was identified as Richie, reminded her that he had previously stated that he would list his likes and dislikes in a relationship, according to the chat.
He wasted no time in outlining his demands after she confirmed that she was prepared to hear them.
He titled them “My Commandments,” and listed eight rules she must follow:
Richie’s “Commandments”
- Delete every male contact on your phone.
- If you’re going out, you must call me on video as you leave the house and stay on the call until you reach your destination. When you arrive, we will remain on the call until you return home.
- Stop wearing short clothes. Every outfit you wear, whether gown or skirt, must be three-quarter length.
- Stop using your phone too much. If you’re not calling me, you shouldn’t be on your phone at all.
- Stop attending Winners Chapel. You will now attend my church – Watchman.
- You’re only allowed to call me and your parents. And you don’t have to talk to your parents every day.
- Cut off your male friends. That one named David? Stay away from him. And the one saved as “Blood” – I know he’s not your real brother. Cut him off too.
- I don’t want to see you around anyone – male or female. I should be the only person you talk to.
The woman called him out in the chat, calling his behavior extreme, and rejected his controlling rules after being shocked by them.
The social media post quickly became popular, generating a flurry of responses in the comment section.
Some users encouraged her to leave right away before things get out of hand, while others voiced concern about the relationship’s warning signs.
