Uche Maduagwu, a Nollywood actor and social media commentator, has chastised veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie for his silence on his son’s ongoing marital drama.
Maduagwu pleaded with Pete in a recent social media video to talk to his son, Yul Edochie, about his behavior.
Yul posted a video of his second wife, Judy’s, childbirth testimonies while still grieving the death of his first son, Kambi, with his first wife, May.
Maduagwu believes that Pete’s silence on the matter is worrisome and gives the impression that he supports his son’s behaviour.
In the captioned video;
“Dear Sir PETE, your continuous SILENCE on this matter is unbelievably Worrisome, talk to your Pikin”, Maduagwu urged Pete to intervene and address his son’s actions. He also highlighted the cultural and traditional implications of Yul’s behaviour.
“Never in the History of African Culture, especially in the IGBO Tradition has something like this happened that 1st IYAWO go Dey Mourn her Pikin, and Husband go post video of 2nd IYAWO Jubilating and Thanking God for safe Delivery of her Pikin, is this a JOKE or what?” Maduagwu wrote in the caption.
Fans have expressed mixed feelings about Uche Maduagwu’s request for Pete Edochie to intervene in his son’s marital drama as it continues to circulate on social media.
According to one Instagram user:
“I think it’s important for family members to intervene when things are going wrong. Pete Edochie should talk to his son and help him to do the right thing.”
Another user commented;
“I don’t think it’s anyone’s business. Yul Edochie is an adult and can make his own decisions. Let him deal with his personal issues in his own way.”
However, some fans expressed concern about Yul’s behavior’s cultural implications, with one user writing:
“We must uphold our traditional values and cultural norms.” Yul’s actions are unacceptable and must be addressed.”
Fans are divided on whether Pete Edochie should intervene, but the issue is still being debated in the online community.

Mesike_sonia: Uche hope you’re ok? Just keep calling out the wrong pipo on this issue, you go weep tire. Thank God you now realize dat Judy is not the one dat posted the video buh Yul. For all we know she might av evn made dat video b4 the death of yul’s ist son and refused to post coz of the sensitive issue at hand buh Yul has decided to be a nuisance in the internet space by posting that video in his verify Facebook acct at such a time as dis. Uche don’t loose focus at all keep dragging Yul, he is responsible for his own actions. He is an adult and a full grown man for dat matter. Yul is May’s enemy not Judy or sir Pete or any members of the Edochie’s. Na Yul.

Emperorjamalofficial: You don’t need to drag the Legend Pete into this adult matter. Yul, May and Judy are all adults. One thing am sure of is that Yul is not stupid to have posted Judy video at this crucial time. We are all outside, we don’t know what’s going on in their home. Our opinion doesn’t matter at all bcos we can’t live their lives for them. Judy is a human being too, she too know what she passed through. As for me, any woman who stand by me, help me build my career or supported me when the ones I rest on disappointed me at the time of need, no matter what they may be passing through in life I will never abandoned them in the face of persecution and humiliation. I believe that’s what Yul is doing to Judy. Let them be and let’s pray for them
Hazelanntenia: Which Pete. Wasn’t him the one who was making movie up and sown with her. This matter with them is tiresome. As daddy freeze said may has 2 choices accept polygamy or walk away. Yul isn’t leaving judy . Enough is enough already..
