Woman describes how her fiancé canceled their wedding just weeks before the wedding

A Nigerian woman revealed how, despite her doing nothing wrong, her fiancé called off their wedding only weeks before the big day.

In a post she shared on her page through X (formerly Twitter), this was made public.

The woman talked candidly about her previous marriage experience in the post, revealing that her fiancé had called off their wedding only a few weeks prior.

She did not understand the reason for the cancellation, so even with the great preparations, she had trouble persuading her parents that she had done nothing wrong.

But three years later, her ex-fiance contacted her, saying he had been “jazzed” and did not know why he had canceled the wedding.

Reflecting on her experience, she offered advice to other women, saying: “The rest is history. Sis, some people will say a lot of things about this, but ignore them.”

“They aren’t your God, and trust me, God has got you. You will be fine again. Sorry can’t heal you, sis. Time will. Be good, I care.”

As her post gained traction online, many concerned individuals flooded the comments section to share their thoughts.

See some reactions below:

@BlessedGirl001: “I can only imagine how embarrassing it was that your parent finds it hard to believe you. Thank God you were able to come out strong. The Jazz excuse he gave might really be true. Perhaps someone doesn’t want you in that family.”

@juggernautty007: “Jazz? So he has a weak spirit or at least at that time, had….meaning he wasn’t actually ready, na God take style save you if not…..jazz no suppose work for person wey dey rub minds and spirit with big G on a regular.”

@dreykvngII: “Pele. But according to the lady’s post. It seems she was the cause.”

@Salem_Adaidu: “Anytime I hear stories like guys cancelled wedding or engagement without a fault from the Lady I just feel like bringing out my gun that I don’t have and make a noise in the guy’s 👂. Because what can fa All these shit?”

@thatno19baller: “Omo it was for the best sha. But don’t project what happened to you on her. It wasn’t your fault ..okay. But even YOU don’t know her story 100% so don’t go about claiming as if maybe she didn’t go anything wrong.”
