A dramatic revelation has sparked widespread reactions online after a Lagos-based lady shared a shocking wedding-day incident on X (formerly Twitter).
What was meant to be a lavish and joyful celebration reportedly turned into chaos after the bride made a last-minute confession just hours before the ceremony.
According to the narration, the groom had allegedly spent a staggering ₦31 million to organize what many described as a “dream wedding.” Preparations were said to be grand, featuring a fully booked event hall, customised aso-ebi, and even four cows slaughtered for the occasion.
The bride had earlier appeared cheerful in pre-wedding photos, dressed elegantly in a custom lace outfit, giving no indication of the storm ahead.
However, at exactly 7:03 am on the wedding day, she reportedly sent a voice note to the family group that changed everything.
“I can’t do this. I’ve been pregnant for 4 months and it’s not his,” she confessed.
The message was said to have stunned both families, plunging the atmosphere into silence before confusion and outrage followed.
Things escalated further when the bride allegedly revealed that the pregnancy belonged to the groom’s best man.
“It’s your best man. We’ve been seeing each other since the introduction,” she reportedly added.
Witnesses claimed the best man attempted to quietly slip away from the venue as guests began arriving, many unaware of the unfolding drama.
The situation quickly spiralled. The groom reportedly fainted near the high table, while a heated confrontation broke out between both families in the car park, requiring security intervention to restore order.
Despite the elaborate setup, the Master of Ceremony eventually addressed the crowd with a brief but heavy announcement:
“There will be no wedding today.”
