A Nigerian couple has warmed hearts online after celebrating the launch of their second filling station, while openly reflecting on their humble beginnings and the journey of their marriage.
The story was shared by the wife, identified as @FavourGrace09 on X (formerly Twitter), who revealed that when she and her husband met in 2009, they were both struggling financially and squatting with different people just to survive.
In the tweet, which has since attracted over 1.5 million views, she recounted how their relationship began with no money, no stability, and no external support. Despite the odds, the couple stayed committed to each other, gradually building their lives step by step.
According to her, one of their early milestones was buying their first car, which helped them commute to work, followed by renting their first small apartment. She emphasized that everything they own today was built from the ground up through love, teamwork, perseverance, and mutual support.
The woman used the opportunity to encourage couples to support each other’s dreams, stressing that while no one is obligated to marry a poor partner, genuine support can make a huge difference in building a successful future together.
She concluded the post by announcing that she and her husband had officially launched their second filling station, DP Oil & Gas Filling Station, alongside In & Out Restaurant, sharing photos from the launch.
The post has since been met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages, with many social media users praising the couple for their resilience, consistency, and inspiring marital journey.
