Controversy erupts as social media personality, Verydarkman, releases audio implicating Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, veteran lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, and his son, Falz, involved in corrupt practices.
Notably, major players in the Nigerian entertainment industry, such as Don Jazzy and Victor Osimhen, donated millions of naira after Bobrisky’s recent release from prison.
Bobrisky stated in the audio leak that he paid the EFCC 15 million Naira to have the money laundering charges against him dropped.
Bobrisky disclosed that the EFCC had prosecuted him and sentenced him to six months in prison even though he had paid the amount requested.
Bobrisky claims that he was able to complete his sentence outside of prison because his godfather made contact with high-ranking prison officials and set him up with an apartment.
Bobrisky disclosed that, before being released from prison, he had correspondence from Afrobeats artist Falz and his father, Femi Falana.
According to Bobrisky, Femi Falana facilitated a pardon for 10 million naira to settle the case.
