Update: Police arrest a tech executive in connection with the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee

Police in San Francisco have arrested a tech executive in connection with the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee.

The 43-year-old father of two was stabbed around 2:30 a.m. on April 4th in the Rincon Hill neighborhood, and Lee allegedly knew his assailant, according to Mission Local.

Police have yet to confirm the suspect’s identity, but according to Mission Local, he is a fellow Bay Area tech executive.

It’s unclear if the man attended the same tech conference Lee was in town for, but they were seen in a car together around 2.30 a.m., just before the stabbing.

The attack appears to have resulted from a confrontation. According to police sources, this is the case.
