According to her post, while many people drift away after a funeral, her father’s closest friend remained a constant presence in their lives for 14 years following her father’s passing. The two men had shared a friendship spanning four decades.
After losing her father, the family received far more than condolences. Her father’s friend ensured that all seven children completed university and continued to check on them regularly. Even years later, he still sends weekly messages to ask about their wellbeing, refusing to let them feel abandoned or forgotten.

“Most people walk away after the funeral. My Dad’s best friend stayed for 14 years. They were friends for 40 years. When I lost my Dad, he didn’t just offer condolences—he ensured that all seven of us graduated from university. That 40-year friendship didn’t end at the grave. To this day, he still texts us every week to make sure we’re okay. He never let us become orphans.”
