Toyin Abraham has been called out, insulted, and trolled since stating her preference for All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Tinubu.
During an Instagram live with her colleague, Kemi Afolabi, the actresses argued as Afolabi tried to explain why Nigerians were upset with her decision.
Toyin Abraham clarified that the curses hurled at her on a daily basis would not affect her because she supports Tinubu voluntarily, not because she has been bribed.
She also stated that she has not campaigned for any politician and that she should not be bullied simply because she is Nigerian.
The filmmaker went on to accuse Afolabi of appearing on live television and saying what Nigerians want to hear in order to stay in their good graces.
Kemi Afolabi did not back down and reminded her of the EndSARS situation, which received international attention. She also mentioned the appalling conditions at LUTH, where she had been admitted. Watch this video:
Toyin Abraham reacted to a YouTube channel that shared information about her alleged death.
The videos appeared to be directed at the actress because of her support for APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu. The video’s title was:
“Actor Toyin Abraham’s Death News Clash Over Naira Notes And The 2023 Elections.”
The actress shared screenshots of the YouTube video and reiterated her support for Tinubu, saying that death is not her lot in life and that everyone should be able to make their own decisions without being chastised for it.
