Thief breaks car in front of Abuja police station, steals laptop and landed documents

A Nigerian man has expressed his outrage after a thief broke into his car, which was parked right in front of an Abuja police station. The thief took his laptop and a bag that contained important documents.

A video capturing the incident scene was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, revealing this information.

The victim of the incident, who is thought to be the owner of the car and laptop, is heard in the video expressing shock and frustration.

He claims that despite the vehicle being parked in front of the Zone 7 Police Station, it was vandalized without any help from the ostensibly nearby officers.

In front of the police station, Zone 7 Police Station, they broke the windscreen and took away the laptop from inside this car,” he lamented.

The man also appealed to the public, especially Abuja residents, to help him recover the stolen bag, stressing that it contained vital landed property documents.

Please, if you reside in Abuja and you mistakenly see any bag anywhere, it contains landed documents,” he pleaded. “If you mistakenly stole any bag, please just contact me.”

The post has since attracted reactions online, with many questioning the security measures around police premises.
