A welder has been left devastated after suspected thieves broke into his workshop and stole his welding machines and generator, throwing him into emotional and financial distress.
The heartbreaking incident was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media, showing the distraught artisan in tears as he lamented the loss of the tools he depends on for survival.
According to the welder, the criminals did not only steal his equipment but also carted away machines belonging to other welders who kept their tools in the same workshop.
Speaking in the video, the visibly shaken man questioned why he was targeted, insisting he had never wronged anyone.
“What did I do to you people? I don’t owe anybody. I didn’t steal anyone’s property. This small hustle I’m managing to survive, you people came and carried it away. You took my engine and even other people’s machines that were kept here,” he cried.
He explained that the stolen items represented years of hard work, sacrifice, and struggle, stressing that welding was his only source of income.
The victim added that the incident has left him confused and helpless, as he now has no means to provide for himself or his family.
The development has once again drawn attention to the growing insecurity facing small business owners and artisans across the country. For many welders and craftsmen who operate without insurance or external support, the loss of work tools often translates to instant unemployment and financial ruin.
