Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, has reacted to Google’s estimation of his net worth at $22 million, describing the figure as far from accurate.
The Afro-fusion singer addressed the claim during a recent interview, where he laughed after being informed of the amount attributed to him online.
“I prefer them saying that, that’s cool. I like that one,” Burna Boy said jokingly. “They are way off. It’s truly a blessing to be in a situation where I can change my family’s life and take care of expenses for other people.”
His comments come shortly after the singer sparked controversy during his “No Sign of Weakness” tour at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in the United States. Burna Boy briefly halted his performance to eject a fan who appeared to be sleeping in the front row with his girlfriend.
“When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping, it pisses me,” the singer said before asking the fan to leave the venue.
Despite the backlash, Burna Boy continues to display the trappings of immense wealth. In 2025, he made headlines after acquiring Africa’s first 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto, reportedly worth over ₦1.5 billion (approximately $600,000).
Reports also estimate that the artist’s car collection alone is valued at nearly ₦19 billion ($13 million). His luxury garage reportedly includes a McLaren Senna Carbon Fibre Edition valued at ₦3.2 billion, a Ferrari Purosangue worth ₦2.1 billion, and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan estimated at ₦619.15 million.
While Burna Boy may dismiss online net worth figures as inaccurate, his lifestyle and acquisitions continue to underline his status as one of Africa’s most successful and influential music stars.
